Profiles – I found out what a profile is. Every raw file needs a profile. A raw file is merely a bunch of numbers reflecting the amount of light registered at each pixel. A profile must be applied in order to for the raw conversion to correctly tie numbers to colors. A fairly easy to understand description is here: https://www.phototraces.com/b/lightroom-raw-profiles/
