      Capture SIG November Meeting
      Monday, November 18, 7:00 – 9:00 PM.
      United Community Bank (directions below)

      November Meeting Topic

At the November meeting, we will talk about filters during the first hour and photographing Christmas lights during the second hour.

Filters can be used for everything from protecting your lens to impacting your images. Come prepared to share your experience with filters and your questions.

We will discuss photographing Christmas lights and night photograph in general. We will follow up with a photo outing to downtown Brevard to practice photographing Christmas lights in early December.

In preparation for the meeting, review this article on filters: https://www.adorama.com/alc/a-beginners-guide-to-camera-lens-filters and this article on photographing Christmas lights https://improvephotography.com/51193/photograph-christmas-lights-like-pro/

Be sure to bring your camera. See you all then!

The Capture SIG provides a place where club members can come together to learn about “capturing the image”. This isn’t a lecture series. It is a “shared participation, learn from each other” experience. It will be a learning experience for the beginner as well as those who have been doing photography for a while.

The Capture SIG meets the third Monday of each month.

Bring your ideas, your questions and your camera and be ready to share.

Location: We meet in the Community Room at United Community Bank (UCB), 10 Park Place East, Brevard NC, 28712. UCB is located in Straus Park across from the Marathon gas station on Hwy 64 at the corner of Hospital Drive and 64. If you are heading out of town, turn left at the Marathon station and the bank parking lot is on your right.
