Jack’s website is an example of inserting a link with custom text.

Inserting an image, though, is not an obvious, intuitive tool.

The only way I know to insert an image is to have the image file in a cloud location or gallery where you can get a link.  Then use the Link icon above to insert the link inline like this.   Be sure to click the “Open in new window” box so you come back here after closing the image.
