At the Capture SIG on 20 June we discussed best practices for capturing images of fireworks.  We also talked about good locations in Brevard and WNC to view and photograph fireworks.  If you want to get some practice before the Big Event here, there are some towns that will have fireworks before the Fourth of July.  Some brief research found the information copied below.

The Romantic Asheville web site (https://www.romanticasheville.com/fourth.htm) provides an extensive listing of Independence Day events in WNC.  Most fireworks displays will be on 4 July but some are on other dates, including Lake Junaluska (3rd), Marion (2nd), Valdese (1st), and Cherokee (3rd).  Oddly, Brevard is not listed.

The town of Lake Lure will stage its fireworks show on 3 July.  See https://www.townoflakelure.com/community/page/fireworks-lake-lure for details.

If you will be traveling just before the Fourth, you might catch the fireworks somewhere in or within 50 miles of Charlotte.  Look here for details: https://www.charlotteonthecheap.com/charlotte-4th-of-july/
